The City of Milan sells Sforza Castle tickets itself, at the museum ticket office and online, through the castle’s own site. For a normal visit that is the best-value route, and it is the one we would take. You can find it from Castello Sforzesco (City of Milan).
We earn a commission when you book through the GetYourGuide cards on this page. We earn nothing when you buy direct. So here is the honest version:
Prices are for adults and were checked in October 2026. The cards on this page show the GetYourGuide price we last saw, so check the listing before you book.

The museums ticket is valid for the whole day it is issued. It covers every castle museum, including the Ancient Egypt gallery, with one entry to each section. It is non-refundable.
The museums are open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 17:30, and closed on Mondays. The ticket office closes at 16:30, which is also the last entry to each section. The museums are shut on 25 December, 1 January and 1 May as well, and some areas may close temporarily. Visiting Sforza Castle has the practical details, and what is inside explains what the ticket gets you.
You pay the reduced €5 price if you are:
Entry is free for:
Free visitors still need a ticket. Online, choose the free entry option, labelled “ingresso omaggio” on the Italian page.
The museums are free for everyone on the first Sunday of each month, and free for visitors up to 25 on the second Tuesday of each month. The courtyards are free every day anyway, so the free day only saves you the museums fee.
The Merlate Panoramiche is a separate ticket, at €10 full and €5 reduced, with the same free categories as the museums. It does not include the museums. Entry is Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00, with the last entry at 17:00, every 20 minutes in groups of up to 25 with staff but no guide. Decide before you queue whether you want it, because you buy a different ticket for each.
The cheapest guide is the castle’s own weekend tour: €20 including the museum ticket, at 11:00 on Saturdays in English. Meet at 10:45 at the Infopoint. For a full-price visitor that works out at €10 more than the ticket alone. The audioguide costs €5 from the bookshop and does not cover the Ancient Egypt gallery.
If you want a small group and a set time, the GetYourGuide cards include a guided visit with castle and museum entry. It is a small-group visit with a certified guide and ends at Michelangelo’s Rondanini Pietà. Treat it as a way to pay for a guide.
The Tourist Museum Card costs €20 and lasts three consecutive days. It gives one entry to each Milan civic museum, and cardholders enter the castle free. The Milano Museo Card is an annual named card at €15, and is also free entry. Both only make sense if you plan several museum visits. For the castle alone, the €10 ticket is cheaper.
The YesMilano City Pass includes three days of public transport, the Duomo, the castle and more. It costs €60 for Standard or €90 for All Inclusive. Add up what you will really use, such as the transport you would otherwise buy and the Duomo entry, and compare that with the pass. The Duomo’s own site, duomomilano.it, has current prices.
Leonardo’s Last Supper is not at the castle. It is at Santa Maria delle Grazie, and it has its own booking system, run by the Cenacolo Vinciano. The Last Supper guide walks through it in detail. The short version:
Book on the Cenacolo’s own site first. If the dates you need have gone, a guided tour that includes an entry slot is the practical option, because the ticket is part of the booking. Read the listing for its dates before you pay.
Three tours in the cards include a Last Supper ticket. The table compares them.

The two-hour Last Supper and castle tour includes the castle courtyards but not the museums. The courtyards are free to everyone, so what that combo adds over the Last Supper-only tour is the guide’s time in the courtyards. The shorter Last Supper visit is a one-hour guided visit with the ticket included. The three-hour walking tour starts at Piazza del Duomo and adds a guided walk through the old centre.
Buy the castle’s own ticket, direct, and book the Last Supper from the Cenacolo’s site as early as you can. Use a tour for the Last Supper if the official dates are gone, or if you want a guide to explain it. If you are still planning, the home page has the overview, and nearby sights lists what to add.

No. You can buy at the museum ticket office or online, and the courtyards need no ticket at all. The Last Supper is the opposite: booking is mandatory for every ticket there.
Only if you plan to visit several Milan civic museums. It costs €20, lasts three consecutive days and gives one entry to each civic museum, including the castle. For the castle alone, the €10 ticket is cheaper.
A guided tour that includes an entry ticket is the practical option. The Cenacolo releases extra tickets every Wednesday at 12:00 for the following week, so check there first.
